| Patricia M. Kelly, Ph.D. is the founder and
president of Kelly Counseling & Consulting. Begun in 1991 as Kelly
and Parsons Counseling & Consulting Services, the firm's name
was changed to Kelly Counseling and Consulting in 1998. Dr. Kelly's
dream was to provide cost effective mental health services to Mission
driven organizations. Included in that dream was the goal to provided
services that equal or exceed professional standards of excellence.
In order to do this, Dr. Kelly sought to invite a team of well-prepared
practitioners who shared this vision and who wished to work in a collegial
and cooperative environment. Today, the experienced and dedicated
staff of KCC is a blend of professionals from various fields in mental
health, including several branches of psychology, social work, and
psychiatry.
While Kelly Counseling & Consulting offers
mental health services to the general public in the form of psychotherapy
and educational and psychological testing, it focuses consultation
and much of its assessment services primarily to value based and
Mission driven organizations such as religious communities, dioceses,
schools and parishes. KCC is unique in that it provides ministry
not only to the minister but also to the system within which the
minister works.
KCC recognizes that to insure excellent service
it is important to strive to address the larger issues as well as
the presenting concerns. Therefore, whenever it is appropriate and
within the bounds of confidentiality, KCC strives to assist leadership
to examine presenting issues from the perspective of choosing strategies
that are both prevention based and generative. KCC is committed
to providing all of its clients, whether individual or organizational,
with the possibility of a healthier future through ongoing education
and a more developed understanding of mental health choices.
